Dear Diary,

This morning I was feeling sick and tired. It felt like a day to stay home. I ended up leaving home after 7:30 AM and boarded the bus in Curepe at 7:55. Only in the car I was trying to mentally work out the COAG strumming pattern. After walking down the road with “Miss Charles”, I went to sign or I would not be going back to that part of the school for a long while. No one had signed as yet for the morning.

It was a while before the air conditioning by me was turned on. Nice to see Javid today. Miss Soodeen came by to tell Miss Dayna that she sent her my music. They said that they had liked it. Was hoping that the Channa pies were ready. They smelled good coming from the road. Jess came to ask for a meeting concerning the topics in the 4th period. Hearing Shiva’s voice earlier I had forgotten to send him the journal link or do something for “Celia”.

I had to ask for double heavy pepper today and it was like alight. Not sure who the instructors for the religious instruction in the hall were. They are new from the gentlemen on Friday mornings. Somehow the time went by so I decided to remain there and work on Exodus Nine.

Went early to see Jess while she was with Mr Bain and Shiva. We had a chat about the schemes of work for Form 1 to 4 until it was the end of recess for 2F. She shared some Lint chocolate while we spoke about topics and planned who would do which topics. The children were too loud and I had to review internal and tonic triads.

During lunchtime, Brad and the others played the piano. They asked me to play something for them and I did the introduction for the George’s anthem. They did not know that version was composed by me. Some of them left and “Mr Barbour” and “Miss Garraway” remained back to learn some more. I thought them the fingering for the C Major scale. The three of us took turns in different octaves and some together. “Miss Garaway” had issues with finding the pitch C.

Had a nice chat with Mel before she left. Mr Raymond had almost forgotten her. She got to see the new calypso lyrics that I came up with. We had a big laugh about my pants falling in the kitchen while trying to lift the big styrofoam box. A lot of dark clouds were filling up the sky. The roam was also starting to become colder.

After school, I had a good lime with Mrs Solomon in the library. She had shared her catalogue books with me. They were reeeeaaalll amazing to read because of the person’s explanation. She also shared a browse of the Abridged Dewey Decimal Catalogue book 13 and said that they are probably 51 or 59 currently. I find it to move faster than MLA. I shared a joke about being grateful for the internet versus long ago and librarians had to search page after page in the Dewey book.

I got a ride home with Mr Raymond. The Table Tennis coach offered me lessons on Monday and Wednesday. It was nice to see “Mr Dass” and Jessie playing too with “Jennie”. I couldn’t get much done for the night. The storm came down and I sat in the gallery. It was not easy making it to bed after falling asleep on the couch. Maybe that’s what it is like to feel drunk.
