Date for Entry: (Monday 07 October 2024)

Actual Date of Online Entry: (2024)

[T1, W:06 – WD:23, (Td:4)*].

Dear Diary,

On Saturday the arrangement for “That’s What Friends Are For” was completed. The ending was not all that. I also got the Choral Benediction “Go Now in Peace” completed right after. One Sunday we played “Broken for Me” for the communion service. One of Mr Ojar’s nieces was the first to borrow a book from the church library.

From 1 PM to 6:47 I worked on library documents to send off to Isa. I was so tired after frustratingly putting in the pitch letters for “That’s What Friends Are For”. To end the night I watched Guyana in the finals of CPL 2024. However, I was hoping for St Lucia to win their first victory in the games. Couldn’t watch the full things.

This morning was a slow one. Didn’t see “Mel” there again. “GG” and Dr Allison were trying to see if they could explain Exodus 4: 24-25 for me. The Form 1s and 2s were kept in the hall for assembly but it was a quick one. The Channa pies were not made as yet. Seems like today was the colour grey or yellow in the staffroom.*

Jess had dropped off her roll book and went off to 2L. The children were given practicals in the panroom in groups of eight, while I reviewed Tonic Triads and intervals with the remaining students. We ended up having 3M for music instead of Upper 6 since Roberts took them. The Form 3s were given songwriting. The brainstorming topic was love. They had examples with R&B tracks and I took a rap on what they did. Maybe I will try and make up the rest of the song.

At recess, she had to do and get something out of the road. I went to the office to get copies and got kept back. I saw that Musescore page margins could not be altered since the last stave on the page and footers got cut off. Jess did practicals again with the Form 4 students. She left school immediately at the start of lunchtime. Some of the younger children wanted to try out the steelpan instruments so I gave them until 12:20.

I had a short trip to the library. Miss Alexander and I spoke about the workings of the library. She had seen the photographs that were taken over the weekend. We didn’t speak for a while since students came to sign out books with her too.

Miss Solomon had asked to borrow my laptop. Had to walk to the staffroom and back. They permitted me to look through their catalogue card drawers. She and I spoke about the training church library, membership and a cataloguing course we wished to have online. She mentioned that it was taught in Jamaica. She also mentioned that it was better to just use the whole number for the Dwerey to make life easier. I remained there until 1:20 PM.

Returning to the staffroom, Johusa had forgotten his pencil case in the music room. I did not like how he tapped me so hard on my shoulder. The pain took some time to go away. Later that evening, Isa opened the email to see all of the documents for the APC Library. He also printed the test trial of the ‘Cat’ and ‘Sub’ card designs. It looked smaller than I thought it would be. He was able to open up the quotes list and said that by either tomorrow or Wednesday he will have it ready.

I pray that he will be able to make my dream of the card come true and let all of them be decorated as I plan to make them. Daddy and I went to Vashni right after and their stay was way shorter than I thought. I had the right amount of money.* The receipt was slipped into my folder for return at church.* I didn’t get that much done for the rest of the night.
