Actual Date of Online Entry: (Saturday 16 November 2024)

[T1, W:05 – WD:21, (Td:2)*].

Dear Diary,

I had an early waking today for the toilet and left the house early. Daddy walked a bit slower. I told him I usually take my time to avoid sudden pains and troubles. He said that good in response to me. The music on the bus was “Shake de bam bam” and the driver made every shake with the hard brakes pressing. As soon as he stopped I got up but he masked the gas and I held onto the chairs. He reminded me a bit of “Sly” from Marfia City but slightly more of Trini.

The walk down Sixth Avenue was clear. A nice little boy was walking up to the Primary School I enjoyed singing the “Our Father’s Prayer” as the students did in their assembly. They also did the Doxology walking to the bus route. The staffroom was empty today. I decided to do a dry fast (without water and food) today. Miss said that was one of the two fasting and the Daniel fasting. She said that if I wanted scriptures when I asked, pray and let it be revealed.

While finishing the last two sentences of this very same entry, I saw the title Psalm 28 in my head. I was truly hoping for a Psalm. 2L was the first two classes for the day. Jess and I did not have any Upper 6 students. The class was long. Key signatures were finally taught with this group unlike with 2F. Hunger ate my stomach and eyes again. Jess went to look for the Grade 3 Past Paper that we found yesterday for the Form 4s after recess. As soon as the rain poured out onto the roof, my head got a good message. Thank you, Lord.

Recess time came and I was sent to the Musicroom thinking that we had Form 4s now but it was 1F to do their presentations. She called me when I gave up looking for the papers. Mr Marcelle came and joined us in the room. There was a brief meeting and then we spoke about the band’s name, consent forms for Saturday practices, and the importance of attendance.

I went to 2F and “Miss Harris” was not there. I left after speaking with Brad and Ravin. She met me in the music room with “Miss Narinesingh” and we went through the accidentals and the major scale formula for the day until tomorrow. Pan rehearsal was still in session and I had to get back. I asked them to write out C, F, and G major scales using the same formula using both clefs as homework.

After lunch, the Form 4s were given the exam paper to try. “Mel” was writing things down from Mr Marcelle and Jess was in the room assisting him with the pans. The students took a very long time to complete the paper. “Maggie” was not feeling well. Class finished late because of the “Out and Bad” song we tried to learn. On this day Mr Marcelle also got to hear the “Yisu Ni Kaha” song that I arranged and he liked the chords in the introduction.

As soon as I got home I had Muslim Barbeque. The song “That’s What Friends Are For” was finished with the transcription of the melody and inserting the chords. This one and the “Choral Benediction” will have to insert strumming patterns. Because of the time, I ended up in front of the television and fell asleep until 11 PM to go to bed.
