Date for Entry: (Tuesday 01 October 2024)

Actual Date of Online Entry: (Saturday 16 November 2024)

[T1, W:05 – WD:19, (Td:6)*].

Dear Diary,

This morning Daddy and I went to T&TEC first to deal with business. Sadly there was some stupid mix-up and we had to leave unsuccessful. Luckily I did not have classes this morning. I got soaked down both walks walking and also on Sixth Avenue. Today I used the umbrella in my bag. Got the pies eaten. “Mel” and Roberts were chatting and Jess was coming into the staffroom in a red dress. Maybe she had a date later after school? Lol.

Having a while again, I decided to try some music writing. “Celia” came and asked if I had a few minutes free. We got to speak briefly about the Teachers’ Punctuality and Regularity Excel file that was recently updated. She had one phone call and then we spoke about the handwritten forms. We also reviewed a short example of a rundown to the Excel form using Mrs Allen Brown as an example.

She seemed to like it. It was pleasing to know that she planned to work on this weekly instead of having it pulled up and said that she would check me back in the next two to three days. She also informed me that Mr Charles was the one to take care of the May to July 2024 leave forms as he was Acting Vice Principal at the time.

Somehow while speaking with her, it felt as if I was hearing Mr Persad’s voice coming from mine. I hope that all is well with him and that he was able to get someone to look at the attendance booklet that was shared with him.

To do music work, I would need to find a quiet place in the school which is impossible and somewhere with a plug to charge the laptop. There is now a conflict between “Coral Benediction” and the “Hallelujah Chorus” Challenge that I began working on two years ago. Now that I painfully worked on two long songs I believe that I am ready to tackle this song called “Jireh”.

While working on Exodus 8, we were told that a staff meeting would be held after recess. Teachers were also asked to leave work for the children. This was instructed by Mr Charles on his entrance to the staffroom. The meeting began at 11:19 AM (see notebook for full meeting details).

  1. Issues with the compound.
  2. Gas and water lines.
  3. Physics and Chemistry lab Lockdown; Mercury Leak situation.
  4. New doors and keys issue.
  5. Health and safety issues.
  6. Football and management.
  7. School Dress Code.
  8. Retirement function for Miss Helen Jones (1st November 2024)
  9. Students ride to Nelson Island.

Towards the end of the meeting, the teachers began to joke about the lunchtime being extended. Javid commented, “Farrell house all the way” to Jess. As soon as I got home I ate and got started on cleaning the house.

By 6:30 PM, I got to the computer listening to music. It sidetracked me until 8:39 when I got started to work on “That’s What Friends Are for”. The introduction and part of the first verse was completed. After 11 PM, I really could not do any work anymore. I fell asleep on the couch.
