Dear Diary,
This morning,
Daddy had to knock on the window a third time in the window. It was not easy to
get up and move. When it was time to cross the road, I made a joke to Daddy,
saying that my legs were not ready to move. I had to wait for the lights to
cross the bus route, too. Praise God, a bus was still waiting. I got in and
prayed that the rain would hold up until I got to school. The walk was alright.
As soon as I got
into the staffroom, it was brighter. I realised that they got the light bulbs
changed. Thankfully, my phone charger was still there. I got the forms that
were taken home to cut placed into the white container from last week Thursday
onto a desk with forms. "Hana" spoke with me again before I walked
off. When I felt comfortable walking out into the front yard, I realised that I
had forgotten to take my tray. I packed it up and went straight to Indera. She
asked how the weekend went for me, and then I got into the printing.
While taking the
first exam to do, there was a burning smell in the corridor. Candice couldn't
smell it, but others could. She did make the joke about being careful before
the printer exploded. I did the first three exams and then went for the pies,
but they were out. That meant that I was gonna go without eating the whole day
again. I went to have another drink of water and then get back to work.
I had the copies
that Mel wanted to get for the Form 5s left in the Art Building. She was
supervising a Form 1 Music exam. I saw that Miss Dayna was going to supervise
1M, and there was no sign of Roberts. There was also a situation for the music
exams this morning, and I knew I did the papers. We ended up finding them. I
saw "Hana" coming to see Patty also. There was a lot of heat in the
corridor area too.
A long while
after Dr Jogie came to collect his Form 2 papers for Maths and the MCQ answer sheets.
He had some of Mr Bain's papers to send that were due tomorrow. I got them
printed from the email and then had everything logged in. What I had forgotten
to check by the time was the layout of the documents. The files sent by email
were Word Documents. I would have to remind sir about PDFs next time. Mr Harry
also came by for his PE exam to make a copy. The printing was a picture, and
the whole page was dark all over. Patty came out and was shocked to see it. I
know that I wouldn't want to be the one to print something like that. He said
that he couldnt find the original copy when I asked him.
Soon, Mrs
Allen-Brown came to print a second copy of her exam. I ended up doing the
formatting for her, and then the copy was made. She told me to make 60 copies
of the exam and that it had to be on long paper. I was happy to have completed
the whole batch of papers to be printed for this term's exams. Not sure who
would be doing the rest for all the last minute people, lolz.
I went to the
Art Building to see if Miss was there, and it was locked up. When I got back to
the staffroom Gloria invited me for a ride home today, so I took it. I had to
go back to the office to collect a box that I was saving for my book to send
down to Alma Jordan Library. That night I continued working on the book. The
lesson was on dotted notes and rests after.
