Date for Entry: (Monday 07 April 2025)

Actual Date of Online Entry: (Friday 26 June 2026)

[T2, W:14 – WD:60, (Td:2)*].

Dear Diary,

Yesterday, for communion, the Sunday School band played "Love is Action" for the communion service. I made one mistake when Mr Sharma made a skate. He played the Fouble Seconds part next to me in the front. I was the only Tenor Pannist that morning. I used the silver pan, and it worked really well. Maybe it was tuned again?

This morning was very difficult to wake up to the call of Daddy knocking on the window. There was a long wait for me to get out of the house and go. The police were coming down, and they made me miss the chance to cross the bus route. Thankfully, one maxi waited, and it was slightly empty. The ride down to Sixth Avenue was swift with the hard mash of the accelerator. I needed to walk very slowly this morning.

It took me a while to get up from my seat in the staff room while cooling off in the air-conditioning. I saw "Tia" standing by the hall's doors, supervising an exam. She said that she would come to collect the Social Studies (P1) exam in a while.

The office was very empty. Afisha was walking out, probably to supervision also. As soon as I walked into the VP's office, Indera told me that she was supposed to be working on some minutes for the teachers' leave. She said that she had remembered now that I had walked into the room. My tray was set onto the cupboard by the window. I decided to make copies of the receipts that had to go to Patty for my reimbursement. Rhea was making her copies at the machine. She said that she wanted to get her work from Moderation completed in time. She also mentioned that the Moderation was taking place tomorrow.

The wait for Indera was a bit longer. I went to get my laptop over in case we needed it. It was only 9:41, and I was starting to feel sick with no food in me. Mr Richard said to come back in the next hour. I still feel bad for not being able to do the entry for last week. It feels like typing takes more time than writing it out by hand. Indera was still going at the minutes. I went to collect the pies. I met Mr Mohan on the way, and he gave me some information I had asked him to find out for me. It was good to see "Riba" again. He and everyone else made an expression when Mr Richard asked the staff to make the two aloo pies with plenty of pepper.

I went to the staffroom to eat them and then went to say hello in the Art Building. Mel was with the forms, entering. I told her that I could not stay. When I asked about Bristol Board, all of the children were staring at us blankly. She said, "When Mr Ali comes to work, he comes to work." I saw that she was writing in the information on the Moderation of School form for CXC from the form that I made. It would have been nice to have something that generated all of the marks for the teacher and made it easy. This was my task for the day.

I had three to four back-and-forth trips to the Art Building and the Staffroom to clarify some things. It took me from 11 AM all the way to 4 PM working on the document in Excel until it was time to go. Donna and I remained by our desks the entire day. Mel and I walked out. We had to stop to see if she could find her glasses, but it wasnt found. We had to hurry up before the rain came down again.

Thankfully, a maxi came down when the green light came. Daddy was at the lotto place when I got outside of the terminal. We went to visit Isa to request Borrowing Card Pocket Labels for 5 sets. He had forgotten which document it was until we opened the email from December last year. The cost price was not entered as last time, so he called the price of 65 dollars per set.

That night, I worked on the Visual Arts Excel document again. A huge number of changes were made to get it to that state. I did not make the 'Moderation Sheet' that I planned to do, as it would be too much back and forth to get formulae from one book to another sheet. I had to strategically make space at the bottom of the second page and then put a place to do the totals of the overall totals. Only because of the varied spacing on the columns, I was not able to get everything neatly laid out to copy directly into the Moderation of School form.

I still hope that this document will be a blessing to any Visual Arts teacher that wished to use it. I went immediately to the 'REGULAR' small donation card for the library. Choosing the font and colour was the hardest decision. Everything else fitted well. It was emailed and sent off to Isa by Email. The time was then 12:24. Took a quick shower and went to bed.
