Dear Diary,

This morning was not easy to wake up. I ended up on the couch trying to catch myself. I ended up getting to school late. The driver had some nice worship songs that I ended up singing along to. Sitting in the back was not difficult today because the chairs in front had been removed. Mr Ramdath met me outside and asked me to exchange bags to help him with his box of lab books. They looked really heavy and I didn't think I could manage. Jess was late too, and she was chatting with Donna. I got the Channa pies one time.

While eating, Miss Carthy was asking Jess to go out on the road with her. She told me to supervise the children to do their calypso lyrics. Then she walked out the door with Carthy behind her. Not sure how long they will be going. I was glad that I had an extra napkin to dry clean my dish. Today I decided to put a food dish in my bag to eat in. Hopefully, I will remember to pack some napkins. That was a big need for me. I also brought "Vara's" and Vade's Christmas gift. I hope they like it. I was deciding whether to give them my new acrylic paints, but I would need them in the meantime.

Mel had sent me a message to supervise the Form 2s, but I got to it late. There were only 2 minutes left for the second period to complete. I was lightly late and only "Freddy" was in class. He said that most of the students were down by the music room. By the end of the Science Block, I met up with four students who called the rest. Four others came back late. They were put back in their groups to work on their calypso lyrics. Jess came in the last ten minutes of class. I went back to the staffroom and it was very cold. Ended up chatting with Miss Mary.

Mel showed an interesting picture. The kind of artwork she showed me, I didn't like so much, lol. It was better to go back to the freezing staffroom to get the rest of the lesson completed. The rest of the school was in their House Meetings during the sixth period. I went back to write in the staffroom. There was another conversation on my trip back to the nicer art room. I ended up feeling sick around the same time. Not sure what time Jess had come back to school.

That evening, it took me four hours to complete the treble clef lesson. Mel gave me a late call after her meeting to let me know what the church announcements said. I did two more paintings from Zen Colour. It was six in total done for that day. Some of the paintings were not uploaded, so I did that as the last thing for the evening. It did strain my eyes to finish. I just hope what I did was correct.

I ended up leaving my bag of gifts for Vara and Vade at school in a hurry. Haven't seen "Patty" that much in school these days. Maybe the Principal's work has kept her away completely from the staffroom. I was remembering Hillview that night and "Sneaky" after watching a stick fighting video from the Hillview auditorium. The drumming and singing were a good experience. It would be nice to see a recording of the steelband playing something, too.
