Dear Diary,

This morning was slightly hard to get up. Thankfully, getting out of the house and reaching school was quick. The bus was filled, and I did not like sitting in the back. It got me squished from Barataria to Sixth Avenue. The sun was hot when I walked down the road. Had to hide my face when coming in.

As soon as I got into the staffroom, I saw long silver poles in the room. I thought that I was in a jungle to jump from pole to pole. Not many teachers were there either. I wish that they could have put plugs in for me to charge my laptop. Mel said that it might be the plan. Other teachers wished that it could have been something for the Wifi to come in. I recall Miss Dana coming in and asking when the poles were put in. She said that it was the fastest thing to ever get done in the school.

I went to update the OJT logbook for the first time for the year. It seems that Afisha and Jeanice did not bother to fill it out for all of last month (December 2024). I saw from "AJ" that today was the green shirt day. I didn't even think about that. Instead, I had my yellow and gold shirt that was given to me by Miss Chote. By the cafe, I had paid for the pies, but Mr Richard said that it was now being cooked and that it would take a while.

I got a song from "Jan" that "Leo" wanted to learn on pan. She played only the introduction from YouTube, and it sounded very nice to do for steelpan. I hope to find the link to it later and see what the rest of it is like. Lord Jesus, please don't let there be plenty of indecent stuff in there. Mysteriously, the light in the kitchen was not working. I did not expect it to be that dark in there on my entrance to the staffroom. I went to work on lesson nine at my desk.

By 10:32, I was walking to the cafe. The young boy had to put the Channa and the pepper in the pies. Recess time was going on when I was walking back to the staffroom. The pies were juiced up well with pepper. Everyone was asking if it was doubles that I went to get. It had finally wet up the table. I keep on forgetting to bring newspapers or a dish for me to eat in.

Donna and I had a good chat about music as I was wrapping up the garbage. It was good to use the washroom in time for class, too. "AJ" and I laughed at home, I was combing my hair by the men's bathroom sink. I had to explain to Susan why I couldn't open up the music room for the students, too. They came in the middle of the time I was eating. Roberts had asked me where her’s was. I told her it was being kept safe in my stomach.

I got to class a bit late. The children were very restless today. They were given back their test papers, and the first three questions were corrected. It was nice that "Miss Charles" asked some questions and was able to learn some new things along with Brad and Ravin. As I was about to walk into the staffroom, the Education Minister came walking through the corridor with some people. The art room was empty. I went to the library to do some work. That lunchtime went by quickly.

I stayed working to complete the second lesson for the day. I was having some scary regrets with my arrangement of the topics. It was the middle of the seventh period that I went to the art room to meet Mel. She and Janice were talking, and she asked us to choose the classes we wanted to observe since the Admin will be taking the OJTs to the office to do other work. I will have to make the adjustments to the timetable. Mel and I sat in the staffroom.

I saw Jess and Mrs Santana chatting there, back to my desk. Something was interesting going on in the other corner with Donna, Miss Haris and "Celia". There was also another joke that the Minister had thought Miss Harris was the Principal. The driver had some good music playing on the way up. A lot of grey clouds were up ahead, but it didn't rain again. Muslim Barbeque was closed, so we went somewhere else. The rest of the evening was spent fixing up the forms that were done for George's. I will have to find out the issue with my logo being a part of it.

The clinical supervision document was prepared for the term and sent to the VAPA chat. Everyone will have to select a class and date to attend their class. I had a scare when sharing the document when it went into the wrong chat. Not sure when Jess will finish her scheme of work for me to see the topics, or if I will have to teach them something from my own choice.
