Actual Date of Online Entry: (Wednesday 25 June 2025)

[T2, W:05 – WD:24, (Td:6)*].

Dear Diary,

This morning, I waited five minutes and then rushed off the bed to open up for Daddy. I ended up running to shave and then back to the shower. Daddy got my books for Tunapuna Presbyterian Primary School set outside, along with the laptop. Yesterday I had messaged the Principal in school asking for a meeting today, and he agreed for 3:30 pm today.

When I got into the staffroom, the teachers were there. I sat for a while to take my things out and then headed down to the office. Only Patty was there when I got in. As soon as I got in, I went to clear out the front desk and make it look clean from how I left it yesterday. When that was done, I went to make the copies for the teachers before heading off to Indera. Not sure if she was there yet. On my need to go back to the staffroom, I took the copies and handed them to the teachers that was there.

Mr Charles asked if I would be able to type something up quickly. I told him that I could try since I was going to work with Miss Chote on the leaves. When I went to see Miss Chote, she asked if in her office would be good or outside. I told her to go outside in case someone might come needing something. Mr Charles came with the paper he was writing by hand. He was in my face too much and was not giving me a chance. It was as if he had to submit it to some people. He was also being too perfectionist.

Then, when it was time to print, Miss Jaikaran was printing, and he wanted to get the copies in the room inside Miss Chote's office. By the time I told him that I wasn't allowed to print on that machine inside, he started to make noise and said after laughing, “Nobody own anything in this place!” I sent the prints, and then when the forty pages came out, he started complaining that there were some letters he wanted in capital. By the time I sent it to print, he commented on the upper floor, saying, "Very unprofessional!" Then the printer was out of paper.

I responded that it had already been sent. Then Artee was taking long, and the prints came out afterwards. His prints came out, and then he left. It was good that he was gone after that. Miss Chote came and sat down next to me when I pulled out the chair for her. She was now seeing the Excel file that I made. When we finished the first teacher, and I asked for the late minutes, she just gave the total of them. When I asked for the total, she said, "Noooo, Daryl! That's too much work for me to do!" And then Artee gave me a dumb look.

We got numbers in, and then in the broad column where there was no use for them, I entered the totals for minutes late and the numbers of times late. I did not like doing it like that, even though she told me the Ministry does not need to see that when filling out the absence record for retirement. She also had to leave for a class, and I decided to fill out the form and enter it for myself. A lot of the times and minutes were still missing. They were put in red for when she returned. Recess was one minute away, so I decided to go for the pies. Thankfully, all of the information was in long before I stepped out of the office.

The cafe area was now filling up, but it had a lot of space. Rhea came next to me to pay for something. She was in and out, and about the office looking for a form. She didn't tell me the name of the document, so I would not have known what to look for. I went to eat in the staffroom, and then Miss Dayna was complaining in volume about 3L. I agreed with everything she said, but it looked like she was teaching them for the first time. She continued to vent it out. I felt sorry for her, and all the memories of what I had to endure from them played back in my mind.

I went back to the office, and Miss Carthy was busy waiting for the MMT meeting to finish, to see Patty. She got two letters printed that needed the school's letterhead. The rest of the day continued with me at the computer, and then some students were signed out. Later, after lunch, Miss Ali was telling me that a copy of the student’s certificates was needed for the school’s archival. I didn't know what was needed, and we had a good laugh about it. She told me that she said that, too didn't know at first.

She walked me through the process of making copies on the machine. There was a password first, and then the instructions were easy, such as to select copy, select the type of paper, and the number of copies. The last thing to do was press "start", and the machine worked. She heard my scream of happiness, and then we laughed. I went to give the student back the original, and that was it after they signed.

When they left, I asked her if she thought that it was the right idea to make copies of all of the remaining CXC certificates. She said if I wanted, but included that I was going to, that I would have to do each certificate individually, because the shoot would destroy the certificates. I understood and told her that I would not mind. It was fun doing that kind of work. GG came to get a copy of the consent form. She filled it up, and I helped her stamp it after it was signed by Patty. She had to get copies of them for the Volleyball Girls. She was happy to get it quickly, saying, "Ah could see yuh real enjoyin' it. This is your field."

I continued. There was a parent to see Patty, but she was gone, and so was Miss Chote. I took the number of the parent and made a copy of the document for them. I gave it to Patty as soon as she came back. The rest of the evening was nice. I didn't realise that school was done. I got a brown envelope to recycle and place it in. I didn't have a red marker, so I used a highlighter and my black and whiteboard marker. It was placed into the filing cabinet where Candice had originally left the certificates.

It was a long time after 3:30. The rush to walk up that road was not easy. I was wet from getting into the bus. Daddy had the laptop and a bag of books for the Principal of Tunapuna Presbyterian Primary in the back seat. As we swung the corner to get to the Church, I had the laptop set up since it took a long time to set up. The Musescore was opened too for quick opening of the song on my flash drive.

Walking into the compound, there was no guard around. The yard was empty. Two ladies were inside below, and they told me that the Principal had long gone when I asked. I felt so disappointed again! I called John with a few dollars left on the phone to let him know. I went home to shower first. The office had been heated all week with no air conditioning in the lower part where I sat. I got a piece of the logbook writing completed for the library. There was a long receipt that needed to be scanned. Maybe in school tomorrow? I ended up falling asleep on the couch that night.
