Dear
Diary,
Today was three separate events happening all at the same
time. Two in Couva where I was at the time and the last in America. These three
events were:
A.
Hema’s
Wedding Day
B. Aunt Diane’s Birthday
C. Halloween Weekend
I dressed in my Hillview College formal wear for the wedding because I did not have Indian wear like everyone else. I felt a bit ashamed and at the same time tried to ignore the negative behind the scenes conspiracy to that unbelievable matter. I thank God too that a quarrel did not break out over it.
In the evening, late around seven o'clock, they took out my first bought 'child', which is the piano, out on their stage. I played “Titanic/My Heart Will Go On,” while Hema and Papa danced and another piece.
I saw some people in the seats crying with tears dripping over like a waterfall from the stage. The Tassa boys came in after the song was over. Then Hema and her husband Lester left with the rest of his family. After I looked at the others in the back dancing and then I left to help mommy with some things that had to be seen about.
